Despite its size, Mississauga is thought of by some as a suburb of Toronto. As Toronto has continued to grow economically, Mississauga has followed suit, building predominantly low-density tract housing and high rise condominiums to attract individuals tired of city life. Transportation: A number of major highways connect Mississauga with Toronto and the rest they include: 401, 403, 407, 410, 427 and Queen Elizabeth Way Highways. Every major railway line present in Mississauga. Canadian National Railway trains lead in and out of Toronto. Go Transit service runs lines to Union Station, Lakeshore West, Georgetown, and Milton. VIA Rail service runs a line to Quebec City. There are two types of buses in Mississauga: Mississauga Transit and Go Transit. Go Transit provides extensive bus service that connects Mississauga to Toronto and its suburbs. Mississauga transit provides service across the city, and connects to Oakville and Brampton Transits. Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) in northeastern Mississauga is a hub for Air Canada and provides flights to all regional, national, and international destinations.
Education Mississauga is the home to the University of Toronto at Mississauga (UTM/Erindale College), one of three intercity campuses of the University of Toronto. UTM has an enrollment of approximately 8,000 students. It is growing rapidly, at a rate of about 1,000 students per year since 2002.Mississauga is served by the Peel District School Board and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board.
Hospitals: Mississauga has two major hospitals: Trillium Health Centre and Credit Valley Hospital.

Activities: Mississauga is home for many historical places such as Adamson Estate. More than 10 historical museums are present in Mississauga. Mississauga is also famous for its outdoor activities there are over 481 parks and woodlands areas in Mississauga.
